  • Christmas Magic can be yours!

Those of you on my mailing list will know how proud I was of the festive song Lucy Armstrong and I wrote for Glyndebourne Opera and Create Music last year, called Christmas Magic. More than 2,000 primary school kids from Sussex stomped their feet, clapped their hands and sang about flying reindeer and the Northern Lights during December…

…and now YOU can sing it too!

Lucy has all sorts of arrangements ready for primary school choir, mixed adult/children’s choir, with small musical ensemble or just piano. Email me if you’re interested and I can share all the options with you.

Sadly I don’t have a recording of the song that I can share in public – yet – but here’s the lyrics for now. Look at their happy little faces in the rehearsal photo above! They adored the song too.

Or if you’d like to commission us to write you a fabulous, fun, festive song of your own, you know where to find me

    Bertha Benz Takes A Ride

Click here to listen to the nine-minute musical Jenni Pinnock and I wrote about motoring pioneer (and joyrider) the somewhat complicated and conflicted character of Bertha Benz.

It took us most of a year to write, in bits and pieces, and it was first performed at the Royal Institution in October 2023 at An Evening Of Unnecessary Detail. We’re still not quite sure what it’s for or what to do with it, but Helena Raeburn sang it so fabulously in the studio that we’ve put it online for everyone to enjoy this mini-musical full of motoring drama and authentic German swearwords…
