• The new – and now complete! – Elements song on Channel 4 News

ElementsIn case you missed it (you would only have had to blink a few times) here’s my *new* *updated* version of Tom Lehrer’s “Elements” as seen on Channel 4 News last night. I’m still waiting for the IUPAC to actually name elements 113, 115, 117 and 118 before I can truly finish the song, but let’s call this New Version 1.0 for now.

In other news, I helped the Royal Institution Christmas Lecture smash a glass on TV (yet again) but have no fear if you missed it, you can see the lectures here with the glass-smash around 42 minutes, or watch my live stage version from “Full Frontal Nerdity” where I sing my little heart out here.

Also there’s an epic sale on at the Festival of the Spoken Nerd shop right now… everything is in multiples of pi pounds, from t-shirts to totes and tea towels, so you can pick up a bargain from just £3.14 if you are quick…

  • Live on Blue Peter, and Just For Graphs tour continues…

Blue peter glass smashFinally, a childhood dream has been realised! I did a smashing bit of science live on Blue Peter last Thursday – click the image on the left to watch it happen.

For more updates on what I’m doing right now, take a look at my latest Newsletter here. There’s new videos from my piece about Dark Matter for BBC2 Coast, free songs to download, and a tonne of tour dates with our new “Just For Graphs” show all around the UK.

We’re about a quarter of the way through the tour now, and you’ll be gutted if you miss out on four types of fire, big spectacular musical numbers and an “electrifying” live experiment that involves the whole audience.

Tickets for all shows available here, and a map with all our upcoming dates is here.

Here’s what some of the reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe said… this new show is clearly Off The Chart!

It’s that time of year again… my second investigation for Coast will be broadcast as part of the new series on BBC 2 this summer! If you can’t wait that long, you can get your hands on our latest tour show Full Frontal Nerdity on DVD and download, from just £5 at the Festival of the Spoken Nerd shop. It has 100 minutes of live show, plus 5 hours of bonus nerdity including subtitles in English, Binary and Klingon, 85 minutes of specially filmed extras and four alternative soundtracks.

Buy it online now, or come get a signed copy in person on our “Just For Graphs” tour, starting at the Fringe in August and touring all across the UK from September to December. It’s going to be Off The Chart! Tickets available now.
