• An Evening Of Unnecessary Detail hits the West End!

I just sent out a tiny TinyLetter about things coming up and you can read it here.

It includes news of our biggest ever AEOUD show at London’s Cambridge Theatre, the return of Ada Lovelace Day – Live! at the Royal Institution, another QED Conference in Manchester this Autumn and a gorgeous summer festival at Alex James from Blur’s cheese farm. Bizarre, but true.

More updates coming via newsletter and these posts, as they occur!

  • Astronauts, Unnecessary Detail, Excellent Adventures and I am the voice of the Periodic Table! (in the USA)

I just sent a newsletter out to my lovely subscribers (not one of them? Remedy that quickly over here!) with some stuff I’ve been up to recently.

There’s big news (I got funding to write a show about science club kids and the first women astronaut trainees) and small news (one of the songs from that show is being performed at Leeds Conservatoire next week) and bizarre news (I am the voice of the Periodic Table on Alexa) and more.

    You can read it here.

  • I’m writing a musical…

Wally Square…about WOMEN and SPACE and DISMANTLING THE PATRIARCHY.

I’m workshopping it this week with some brilliant Musical Theatre students at Leeds Conservatoire. I’ll be joined by my fab arranger and co-composer Jenna Dyckhoff and ace MD Jess Douglas for a couple of days too – a powerhouse team.

When I have something to share I’ll pop it here, or take to my twitter @helenarney to get updates as we go along!
